To make technical specifications more useful across the whole software development and deployment cycle, we present our efforts in Haiti and Botswana to incorporate testing and validation resources directly within the FHIR Implementation Guides for those projects. This modular and standard-driven quality assurance pattern can be applied more generally by the OpenHIE community to provide computable acceptance criteria for the different HIE components.
